This text consists of a synthesis and critique of the work of Andre Burelle, Le mal canadien, published in 1995. It is a political-legal analysis of the problems that brought Canada to the threshold of bursting on the day before of the referendum of 1995, and tries to show how we could modernize the Canadian federation with the social and political contract of 1867.
