The paper deals with the investigation into gender adaptation resourses of the patients in an Oncologic Clinic. Attention was paid to similarities and differences in the mechanisms of psychological protection, of coping!reactions, of the patient`s attitude to the disease as well as to the basic emotional states in the male and female patients in order to facilitate the choice proper psychotherapeutic targets.
