Profitability is one of the benchmarks for the success of a company. Profitability shows the company's ability to earn a profit or a measure of the effectiveness of the company's management. This study was conducted with the aim of analyzing the effect of liquidity, capital structure, firmsize, and leverage on firm profitability. This research was conducted on automotive and component sub-sector companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2015-2019 period with a research sample of 12 companies. The method of determining the sample used is purposive sampling. Methodsof data collection with non-participant observation. The data analysis technique used is the Multiple Linear Regression. Based on the results of the analysis found that liquidity, capital structure and firm size have a positive and significant effect on profitability, leverage has a negative and insignificant effect on profitability. The implications of this research are expected for the company to be a basis for consideration in making decisions related to liquidity, capital structure, company size, and leverage which will have an impact on company profitability. Companies are advised to maintain optimal levels of liquidity so that the company remains stable and safe. Companies arealso advised to consider the resources they have, either in the form of own capital or debt, which are used to gain profitability.
