Business intelligence is the use of an organizations disparate data to provide meaningful information and analyses to employees, customers, suppliers, and partners for more efficient and effective decision-making. BI applications include the activities of decision support systems, query and reporting, online analytical processing (OLAP), data warehouse (DW), statistical analysis, forecasting, and data mining.
