Abstract:
The teaching of catur warna in Hindu sacred literature, the Vedas, is so exalted, but seems to be the cultural system of social stratification which appears to violate human rights and has damaged the image of Hinduisme throughout the ages. Application of wangsa system in determining the catur warna that has caused disquiet among many Hindus. The evidence is the many custom cases which appear in different regions of Bali. Conflicts about the wangsa is already an open secret that often decorate the mass media in Bali, even sticking to the national level; as shown in the form of literary novel titled Tarian Bumi (2000), and Kenanga (2003) work Oka Rusmini. It happens because of the supremacy of customary feudalism kingdom era that has been too long not being perfected in accordance with the teachings of catur warna.
