Armenakan party, which became a turning point on the way to the liberation and independence of Armenia throughout its political history, was founded in 1885. As the circumstances changed, the ideology of the Armenakans was reflected as a fundamental concept in the catechism “Vardapetaran of the Liberation of Armenia”, (1889), by Raphael Patkanyan, who was asked to write it by the “Armenian Patriotic Union” (1885, Marseille). The union was created by the main pioneer of the Armenian liberation struggle Mkrtich Portugal. It was the task, the project of creating Armenia. “Vardapetaran” still has not lost either its novelty or its political relevance.
