Studies devoted to the study of the motivational sphere ofthe athlete are numerous, but the motivational sphere has not been sufficiently studied in children’s and youth sports. This article analyzes theoretical and practical research in this field, which makes it possible to identify the most important motives for the formation ofthe athlete’s personality.
