The article dwells on the methodological bases and phases of assimilation of national-spiritual values within the framework of art disciplines. It has been grounded that higher education, as a sphere of socio-cultural activities, contributes to the spiritual enhancement, moral freedom of individuals enabling them to be a relevant bearer of world civilization and cultural heritage – able of assuming the responsibility for that heritage and enriching the universal human values. The paper introduces and characterises the algorithm of assimilation of national-spiritual values and creative capacities and the factors of impact on those processes.
