Sensors play a vital role in the perception system for autonomous driving. The development of these systems requires prototyping, testing, and validation of the concept at a low cost and in a safe condition. Simulation is the perfect tool for this role. In this paper, we analyze some possibilities to simulate the most relevant sensor of the perception system.
