Theoretical subjectsor courses are often disliked among students due to its massive load of informationwhich often lead to misconception or confusion. As a result, moststudents would resolve to rote learninginstead. Therefore, thepurpose of this research is todesign anddevelopOS-Learn, a mobile applicationcreated tohelp students in learningtheoretical subjectssuch as operating systems concepts. The coreelement of OS-Learn would be active engagement, such as the use of visualization and improving memoryretention.OS-LearnuseAR elements as part of itsvisualization technique.ADDIEmodelwasselected asthe frameworkto design and developtheapplication.User acceptancetestingwasperformedafter thedevelopment phase to obtain feedback from potential users which are university students.Thirty studentswere selected to evaluate the mobile app based onitsdesign, navigation, andcontent.Eachrespondentwas given set of tasks andwererequired to complete a questionnaire based on their experience using theapplication.Theoutcomewasmostly positivewhere mostrespondentswere satisfied with theoveralldesign of themobile application.Feedbackand suggestions werealsocollectedthen reviewed to makenecessary adjustments to the application before being deployed.
