The system of interaction between institutions of the public and private sectors of the economy is now becoming increasingly important and developing. In Russia, this mechanism has gained great popularity and increasing importance. Many important infrastructure facilities have already been implemented through public–private partnership (hereinafter — PPP) and it is worth noting that it is quite successful. Public–private partnership should be considered as a form of business development, which attracts the attention of both specialists from the scientific industry and practitioners from various sectors of the economy. This article attempts to consider PPP as a mechanism for the development of the modern economy.
