In a discussion about different types of rationality, the academician A.V. Smirnov formulated a hypoth-esis that explains the apodictic nature of procedural logic when it is irreducible to substantive logic. Dif-ferent types of formal proofs are considered by him as elements of different epistemic chains based on different intuitions of subject-predicate gluing. This article is based on the introduction of universal cat-egories of plot, scenario, and game, we propose a plot-play way of thinking that includes both logics, which is closer to perception of the process and description of reality, implying a substantial compo-nent as well. From this point of view, the same tradi-tional problems of unity of mind, universalism, and intercultural understanding are considered; the con-cepts of communication, the definition of language were rethought; nine stereotypes of thinking were formulated, which create fundamental obstacles to mutual understanding and self-understanding.
