The article is devoted to the philosophical conceptualization of the phenomenon of secrecy in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and the bioethical problem of collective well-being. It is shown that the «will to not know» about the coronavirus is a kind of mystery about its origin and consequences, and a variant of human constitution. The rationale is given that the pandemic entails a revision of the principles of bioethics about justice, collective welfare and personal autonomy, individual human health.
