Quasi-realities in the texts of J.R.R. Tolkien’s works are analyzed. The problem of classifying quasi-realities according to the source of modeling and determining the role of quasi-realities in the creation of artificial literary universes, in order to deeply understand the works of the genre is considered. The influence of the writer’s personality on the quasi-realities he forms is revealed. The proposed classifications make it possible to cover the entire multilevelness of artificially created realities.
