The article is devoted to the problem of application of digital services in scientific and pedagogical researches. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the importance and necessity of using digital services in scientific and pedagogical research. Research methods applied: theoretical (analysis of scientific and pedagogical sources, online services and platforms, generalization of results); empirical (presentation and generalization of pedagogical experience). The article analyzes the role of digital services in the development of science. It was found out that the sphere of informatization and digitalization is determined by the normative-legal base of Ukraine, which regulates its implementation. It should be noted that in recent years a number of bills, laws of Ukraine in the field of informatization and digitalization have been developed: The study substantiates the feasibility of studying the course «Digital Services in Research» by applicants of the third educational level, which is implemented at the Kharkiv National Pedagogical University named after GS Skovoroda. The importance and necessity of formation of digital literacy and information-digital competence of the citizens of Ukraine, as well as of the applicants of the third educational level are clarified. The importance of studying the discipline, the role and possibilities of using digital services in modern scientific research are substantiated. It is determined that the use of modern digital services is especially important in scientific activities, as scientific and pedagogical research uses scientific and metric databases and other relevant sources of information in academic / professional fields, and a young scientist must be able to determine the level of objectivity, factual basis in different types of sources, to assess its reliability and representativeness. The article presents the content of the discipline and the main aspects of its study. Among them are: creation of a scientific profile at Google Academy, creation of Google − questionnaires for surveying applicants of different levels, use of open electronic resources, Internet resources, scientific-metric databases, specialized information databases and information retrieval tools for scientific publications and regulations in the field scientific research. Prospects for further research are outlined, which are to conduct a study to determine the digital literacy of applicants at all levels of higher education.
