The article considers the possibility of using modeling tools to improve transportation process of wind power units to the places of their operation. Optimization processes of handling and moving heavy and long parts of wind power plants using software for simulation modeling PTV Vision are taken as a subject of research. The aim of the study is finding ways how to avoid accidents and reduce the risk of damage to both elements of wind power plants and lifting and transportation equipment
