The article discusses the basic issues related to traffic volume. Significant problems resulting from the necessity of such measurements in relation to the entire urban area were pointed out. Moreover, an important issue raised in the article is also the possibility of using the normal distribution to describe the volume of road traffic in cities on the example of Radom.
