The article discusses the pioneering role of Szczecin in the field of ecomobility development in the region. Ambitious plans and intentions for modernization and even complete change of public transport and the state of their implementation have been presented. Practical results of the adjustment of rolling stock and rail rolling stock to the national and EU requirements in the field of toxic substances emission and environmental protection were presented.
