There were a lot of information about polish cities interested in electrification of bus units, last year. The opportunity to do so was the introduction of the electromobility development program. The simplest solution promoted by many environments is the introduction of electric buses of „plug-in” type into operation using point charging. The article, based on the example of a real urban transport network, presents the possibilities of an alternative solution – linear (in motion) charging using a trolleybus-type overhead lines.
