The article discussed the brochure titled "Mechanics in its historical development" authored, active in the inter-war period, historian of techniques, professor Feliks Kucharzewski, published in 1936. In addition, other important literature items, above all the books, of this author were cited. Among them translation of the epochal work of Galileo "Conversations and mathematical construc-tions in the field of two new skills in mechanics and local movements" (1638). A comprehensive bibliography regarding the object of consideration is also provided.
