The new development model, described in the Strategy Towards the Responsible Development, adopted by the Council of Ministers on February 14th, 2017, is above all the responsible development and socially and territorially balanced. The strategy is a crucial document of the Polish state in area of average- and long-term economic policy, that defines, according to the government, the new model of Poland’s development, including regional development - balanced, evenly covering the whole country and taking into account the diversity and specificity of Polish cities, small towns and villages. Each such an area of the country must be included into developmental processes, by identifying and supporting its individual resources and the unique potential. In the article assumptions of this strategy referring to the public transport were presented.
