Forest is one of the renewable natural resource and it is necessary to keep the sustainability. To prevent the forest from devastated and decreasing productivity, it is required good management without depleting the forest by applying the growth matrix model. This paper discuss about to how to applying the growth matrix model for harvesting forest whose trees are grouped into height classes. The research aim is to determine the optimal yield of harvesting forest that can be attained continually without depleting the forest. The linear programming theory with simplex method is also used to support to determine the optimal yield.
