Da atualidade de Goffman para a análise de casos de interação social: deficientes, educação e estigma

Apresenta os resultados de um estudo de caráter exploratório, desenvolvido há alguns anos acerca da categoria social da "deficiência física", a qual foi entendida como fenômeno que apela para leituras situadas no âmbito de uma sociologia das atitudes, e para tal nos servimos dos escritos de Goffman, contextualizando e relativizando a perspectiva teórica que inscreve esse autor. A proposta é juntar observações de campo a relatos colhidos em entrevistas no intuito de apreender a partir da escola vivências de situações de estigma passíveis de circunscrever a vivência social dos chamados deficientes. Foi historicizado e problematizado o conceito de deficiência associando-o ao problema da constituição de identidades. A dinâmica de construção do texto possui uma proposta de recorte-colagem de cenas e depoimentos em estilo puzzle, assumindo que foram construídas interpretações sobre interpretações ao lidar com as representações dos entrevistados, produzindo um discurso que emoldura discursos outros e que pode ser também circunscrito por molduras outras, conforme indica o jogo de possibilidades de Goffman.Palavras-chave: deficiência física; estigma; escolas especiais.AbstractThe paper presents the results of a study of an exploratory kind, effected some years ago about the social class of physical deficiency. It has been understood as a phenomenon that demands readings placed inside the context of a type of sociology of attitudes; for such an intention, we turn towards Goffman's writings establishing a context and rendering the theoretical perspective that inscribes this author more relativelly. We decided to assemble field observations and stories taken from interviews, with the intention to seize, starting from school life, the mark of stigma situation liable to circunscribe the social life of the so-called handicaped person. The concept of "deficiency" has been historicised and problematized by ourselves, who have associated it to the problem of identity constitution. The dynamics of constructing a text taken the form of "découpage-collage" of scenes and testimonies in a puzzle style, assuming that we have built interpretations on dealing with representations of interviewed persons – producing thus a discourse that frames other discourses and that may also be circunscribed by other frames, as shown by Goffman's possibility games.Keywords: physically disabled; stigma; special schools.
