This issue is a special issue of the Journal based on the proceedings of a Health Management conference held earlier this year in India. Please read the editorial and the preface to discover how this eventuated. Most articles, 15 in total come from the proceedings of that conference but there are also a significant number of additional articles from our colleagues from India. Our thanks to Professor Prema Basargekar and his colleagues from K. J.
