This article describes a case of postaspirational pneumonia caused by cryptococcal infection with further generalization of the process and development of extrapulmonary cryptococcosis (including damage to the heart, liver, kidney, pancreas). This case wasn’t accompanied by cryptococcal meningitis that mostly occurs in immunocompromised individuals. The histopathological examination greatly contributes to the mycological diagnosis.
