As a result of complex clinicalinstrumental ELISA studies the changes in thelevel of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF)in preterm infants are examined; this changesdepend on the functional and structural damage ofischemic and hemorrhagic nature (swelling of thebrain, periventricular leukomalacia, intraventricularhaemorrhagia) and without them, with hypoxicischemic brain dam-age. The correlation betweenanthropometric data and performance level of BDNFis marked.
