Forensic expert conclusion at examination of living persons with injury of organs of external respiration

Purpose of the work - analysis of the features of drawing up a forensic medical expert conclusion based on the results of determining the severity of injuries in victims with closed trauma of the organs of external respiration (OER), depending on its morphological and clinical characteristics and severity, in order to find ways to unify the expert assessment.Material and methods. 183 conclusions of the expert from the Kharkiv regional bureau of forensic-medical examination regarding the trauma of the OER were analyzed.Results. Severe bodily injuries were defined in 17 (9.3%) cases of injuries with life-threatening phenomena. Injury of moderate severity was defined in 151 (82.5%) cases of injuries in the absence of danger to life. Minor bodily injuries were defined in 15 (8.2%) cases.Conclusion. In the expert conclusions, there are cases of both underestimation and overestimation of the severity of bodily injuries in cases of blunt trauma of the OER. According to the results of the study, the ways of unification of the morpho-clinical approach of the forensic medical assessment of the indicated bodily injuries were determined.
