This paper presents the most frequent reasons that arise in the treatment of orthopedic deformities of dentition and a violation of functional occlusion. When creating artificial dentition with the prosthesis it is necessary to take into account the fact how age-related changes of existing dentition defects affect the occlusal changes associated with other elements of the dentoalveolar system. Clinical examples of case histories which were presented by us indicate to orthopedic treatment with different orthopedic constructions without articulatory contacts when restoring dentition which led to complications.
