We have found out that thyroid pathology has tended to increase in Chernivtsi region during the last five years. Among the operative interventions in patients with thyroid gland pathologies, thyreoidectomies and subtotal resections of the organ tended to increase. Endemia in Chernivtsi region is moderate with Lenz Bauer index (relation of male and female patients) being 1:9.
