The study aims to investigate the pathogenetic correction of placental dysfunction associated with iron deficiency anemia. It is shown that placental dysfunction associated with iron deficiency is characterized by moderate changes in hormonal profile in the form of reduced production of progesterone and prolactin and placental dysfunction is closely related to manifestations of syderopenic syndrome. The results of multimodality therapy of placental dysfunction in women with iron deficiency anemia have been analysed, the main directions of pathogenesis-based therapies for these patients were determined.
