The paper studies endothelial dysfunction in patients with arterial hypertension and concomitant heart failure using, besides basic therapy, selective inhibitor of if-channels of cardiac sinus node cells ivabradine. It was determined that patients with hypertension without heart failure are characterized by less pronounced changes of endothelial function. Additional use of ivabradin besides basic therapy induces a decrease of heart rate and promotes normalization of serum endothelin-1 level in patients with hypertension and heart failure.
