The course of pregnancy and labour in women with preeclampsia considerably determines maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality. The study of the hormonal function of the fetal-placental complex appears to be rather topical in this respect. The research conducted gave the evidence that the pregnant with preeclampsia develop placental dysfunction. It results in a decrease of hormone production in the fetal-placental complex, development of complications during gestation, labour, conditions of the fetus, and requires a hormone-correcting therapy.
