This paper presents the current trends and features of innovative technologies and interactive teaching methods of medical interns training in the cycle of “Neurology ” in the specialty «General Practice - Family Medicine" in compliance with the medical education reform in Ukraine at the Department of Neurology at IFNMU. The basic directions of optimizing the education and introducing of innovative, interactive modern forms have been defined. These include problematic lectures with video presentations, situational learning technology (case-situations), a testing system for a knowledge evaluation; the organization of practical training by mastering the neurological techniques in the interdepartment training stimulator gym and working directly with patients under the supervision of an instructor with mastering skills, abilities of professional manipulations to provide emergency care to patients with neurological disorders at the prehospital phase.
