The article considers morphological, syntactic and cognitive-discursive aspects of the English terminological thesaurus "Infectious diseases of the outer coverings of the human body", analyzes the open nature of its model, emphasizes the possibility of introducing additional descriptions to detail the semantic and cognitive properties of existing professional terminological units. lexicographic description of the professional language that functions in the English discourse "Infectology". The interest of the studied discourse is related to the functioning of professional language, interactive processes in science, etc. Conclusion. Synonymous relations of terms, metaphorization, borrowing, transition of commonly used lexical units into terminological vocabulary testify to the high level of systematicity of terms necessary for unification, standardization of professional terminology, and are the basis of lexical and graphic codification.
