This study aimed to gain insight into students' perceptions of the geothermal power plants, among others, about the preparation of the PLTP, PLTP activity, the assessment is given in the implementation of PLTP. Type of research is deskripstif Quantitative approach. From the research results that the students perceive that things have to be prepared to enter the PLTP activity in general is pretty clear. But still there are doubts that the information written on the guidebook PLTP, especially in technical writing article. On the implementation of PLTP, students have been performing well look at such as those associated with the implementation schedule, supervisors and lecturers are carrying out the role and function of each of the respondents (40.8%) stated that PLTP has been implemented in accordance with established guidelines. Respondents (34.6%) stated that the assessment criteria are always implemented as set out in the handbook and a small portion to the contrary.
