Moreover, this technique is recommended in patients with compromised periodontium. Nevertheless, it is essential for maintaining periodontal health and ensuring a successful outcome to treatment. However, studies on long term stability following lengthy periods of retention are needed. These are likely to substantiate the efficacy and durability of this technique.
