This article describes the overview of crankshaft analysis of a medium speed dieselengine. Crankshaft analysis includes static analysis, crankshaft dynamics, bearing analysis, gearanalysis, and stress & fatigue analysis, the latter being in main focus in this article. AVL ExcitePower unit is used for multi-body dynamics and Abaqus for nite element analysis.
