This study aimsatexamining theincreasingunderstanding ofmathematicalabilityand logical reasoningof students receivinglearningwithprobingtechniqueswithstudents receivingregularteachingandexaminingstudents' attitudes towardlearningwith theuse ofprobingtechniques. This study is aquasi-experimental design withnonequivalentcontrolgroup. Thisstudy populationisone of the mainJunior High SchoolstudentsinSumedang, whileclassVIIIstudentresearch samplesas many astwo grades. One classbecamethe experimental groupandtheclass intogroupsandonecontrol. The instruments used inthis studywere to testthe understanding ofmathematicaland logical reasoningof studentsin the description form, andthe scale ofattitudetowards learningby usingprobingtechniques. The results showed that: 1)The ability ofstudentstogainan understanding ofmathematicallearningwithprobingtechniqueis better thanthe learningof students who receive regularteaching2)Logicalreasoning abilityof students receivinglearningwithprobingtechniquesare better thanstudents who receive regularlearning, 3)Improvedunderstanding of themathematicalability of students receivinglearningwithprobingtechniquesare better thanstudents who receive regularlearning, 4)IncreasedLogicalreasoningabilityof students receivinglearningwithprobingtechniquesare better thanstudents who receiveregularlearning, 5)The attitude ofstudentstowards learningby usingprobingtechniquesdemonstratea positiveattitude.
