This articel explain the result of how to expand thinking indigenously ability as an element of thinking creatively in math learning to junior high school through Generative Learning with Open-Ended Approach(PGPOE). The experiment used quasi experiment with SMP Negeri 17 Pamulang as the subject and formed experimental class and control class. It can be analyzed quantitatively using t-test. The result showed there were significant differences (p-value less than 5%) between the student who were taught with PGPOEand the student who were taught with common learning at thinking indigenouslyability. It showed that the student’s thinking indigenouslyabilitywho were taught with PGPOEis much better than the student who were taught with common learning.
