The state of the property complex of higher education institutions of the Russian Federation is analyzed. A method is proposed for calculating the annual minimum additional funding for major repairs of real estate objects of higher education institutions by introducing industry coefficients and coefficients that take into account the presence of cultural heritage objects in property complexes. An example of calculating the amount of funding for a technical university in Saint Petersburg is given, and recommendations are offered for rational distribution of funding allocations.
