Lateral epicondylalgia, also popularly and formerly known as tennis elbow, is the most prevalent elbow pathology in adult population, including professional and recreational athletes, especially in handgrip activities. Due to its predominant incidence, the understanding of its etiopathogenesis and therapeutic approaches have been recently more widely investigated, with concepts currently better defined and new therapies showing better prognosis and providing early rehabilitation to physical activities. This article aims to explore these concepts, contemplating the most up-to-date treatments for this condition.
