The issues of creative influence of the world literature on Uzbek poetry and the traditions of the Independence period have been enlightened in the article. The peculiar features of the poetry have been analyzed. A special attention is given to the creative works of Fakhriyor, which are characterized by using pictorial forms and different stylistic means. The poetry of the period of Independence is distinguished both by harmony of western and oriental influence, which illustrates the uniqueness of creations of this period
