Barbara Skarga is one of the foremost experts of European and Polish positivism. She started her enquiry with the study of Polish positivism to reach up to the European positivistic thought. The road analyzes the positivist philosophy of the nineteenth century dates back to Auguste Comte, Claude Bernard and Ernest Renan appealing at the same time to Polish positivists Adrian Krzyzanowski, Michael Wiśniewski, Dominika Szulc and Joseph Supinski. The crowning issue of the mainstream positivist was the study of the "first philosophy" of Auguste Comte. In this way, Barbara Skarga has assumed research, which constitutes an important scientific contribution for the creation of scientific sociology.
