Исследуется метод подобластей решения сингулярного интегрального уравнения первого рода с ядром Коши. Введена пара весовых пространств, являющихся сужением пространства непрерывных функций. Доказана корректность рассматриваемого уравнения на этой паре пространств. Установлены достаточные условия сходимости метода подобластей в равномерной метрике.
