A neotype for the fossil conifer Pseudovoltzia liebeana (Geinitz) Florin is designated. It has been chosen from the material figured by Geinitz in 1880, which is stored at the Sächsische Naturhistorische Sammlungen Dresden/Museum für Mineralogie und Geologie.
