SUMMARY The data of interest are six series of the respiratory rates of Belgian White and Blue calves submitted to a continuous injection of 5‐hydroxytryptamine receptor blocker at different doses over 30 min. The calves are observed at unequally spaced and often different times. Observations made at close time points on the same animal tend to be correlated. The goal of the present paper is to model the profile of the respiratory rate as a function of the applied dose by taking autocorrelation into account.
