Summary ASCOP is a large statistical system capable of performing a number of statistical analyses and data editing operations. The instructions to the system form a program in the ASCOP language consisting of a mixture of English‐like statements and arithmetic, branching, and subroutine definition and call statements similar to those of FORTRAN.
