A small, compact, fine wire thermocouple psychrometer was tested under controlled conditions in climatized wind tunnels. The unit was found to be free of radiation errors and fully ventilated at only 1 cm sec — 1 . Because of the simple construction and favorable response characteristics, this psychrometer is recommended for measurement of humidity in the vegetation layer.
