A previously designated lectotype for the name Veronica agrestis L. is here superseded in favour of an alternative original element on the grounds of conflict with the protologue in accordance with Art. 9.17(b) of the International Code of Botanical Nomenclature . An earlier proposal to conserve the name with a conserved type is withdrawn.
