The problem of farm labor adjustment to economic growth is considered. The article attempts ( a ) to construct a theoretical model of the farm labor market, ( b ) to utilize available econometric estimates of parameters appearing in the demand for and supply of farm labor, ( c ) to estimate the annual shift in the supply of farm labor which is required in order to achieve a rise in the farm wage rate comparable to the rise of nonfarm wages.
